Beautiful little angel...

This little guy was just a beauty. There was so much love for that little one in this household.. it was amazing.

There is something about these two images below that I find so incredibly powerful. As parents, but as moms especially we are constantly going back and forth with our roles as a mom and all the other hats we wear. It is a constant challenge to learn the importance of truly taking care of ourselves so that we can ultimately be good mothers, spouses, friends, etc. It requires us to step forward and say, "I need a break to rejuvenate." This doesn't happen as much as it should and typically it is no ones fault but our own. We just aren't that great at it. So I guess that is why this series of two images with the mom in focus and the baby out of focus and visa versa speaks to me so strongly. It is the give and take of putting us in front and taking care of ourselves and putting our family in front and taking care of them.




And wow.. isnt momma just beautiful! Those eyes... :)



This little guy is so lucky to have such wonderful parents! I wish you all the best as your family continues on this amazing journey!

I just love watching my baby planners grow!! It truly amazes me how fast the year goes. Here are a few from this little guys one year session photographed over the 4th of July weekend. He has such spunk and energy. I so enjoyed chasing after him for the morning!

Hello... Hello... Hello

I am sorry for not posting much lately. I have been really busy shooting, which has been great, but it has left me little time to post. Annie's Sweet Pea Photography has a lot going on this summer. I am adding some new products to our repertoire. I will post pictures as soon as they arrive. Secondly, we will be entering the Multnomah Days Parade in Portland in August. I will be sending out an invite to past clients to see if you would like to join us in this event! It is going to be so much fun!

I hope this finds you all having a wonderful and busy summer! I love watching summer through the eyes of my kiddos and remembering how much I loved it as a kid.

Sweet Little Mr L - Newborn Photographer - Portland, Oregon

Mr Little L just LOVED to snuggle and be swaddled. Can you blame him? I just wonder what babies would say about the transition from mommy's cozy, warm belly to this crazy world full of weird and new sounds, smells, and temperatures. No wonder they like to be close! What a cutie... oh and I am so in LOVE with his little swaddled couch shots. He looks so happy! I so enjoyed getting to know baby L's parents. They are such warm and welcoming people. Summer Photography Tip - Talk to your subject

When you are trying to get a cute picture of your child.... PLEASE dont tell them to stop and say CHEESE!! Take the opportunity to talk to them. Ask about anything... about what they love about summer, what they love about school, their favorites cartoons, anything... just please, please, please dont ask them to say cheese. We know that everyone can say cheese, but try and capture who they really are... your beautiful and precious kiddos. SO go... give it a try. It does take practice, but you can do it! Enjoy and have so much fun in this gorgeous sunshine!
